Check the list frequently as it changes often.

If you're interested in healthcare, consider applying for a position at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. There are many job openings listed and you can view them here:  Elmhurst Hospital Jobs . To search the website, click on "Search Job Opportunities," and in the WHERE? box select "Elmhurst." This will bring up a list of all of the current openings. Many positions require advanced training, but others do not require more than a high school diploma. The listings on this page change frequently, so if you are interested in hospital work, check the list regularly and take advantage of the search limiters running down the left side of the page.

If you're looking for a local job with opportunity to grow and transition into new roles, consider applying for a position with DuPage County. There are a variety of postings, including full-time, part-time, degree and non-degree positions.  When you go to the jobs website, at the top of the page, there is an option to sign up for email updates whenever a job posting changes. With a new surge in Coronavirus cases, there is growing need for contact tracers. Preliminary information indicates that more than 100,000 contact trainers are needed immediately. Contact tracers in Illinois can earn up to $28 per hour. To be qualified to apply for a job as a contact tracer, you must first go through a training program. College of DuPage is currently offering that program to anyone 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and a general proficiency in technology. The program is entirely online and takes 4 weeks to complete.  The next classes will begin on August 24 and run to September 20. The cost of the class is $279. Note: These classes are approved for funding by the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA). Check with WorkNet DuPage for eligibility requirements.
