About Us

Hello and welcome to our blog! So you know a little bit about the Recovery Project 2020, but now you want to learn more about who's behind the project. It's not exactly easy to trust a stranger to help you with something as important as finding a job, right? We get it. We want to make the process of finding a new job and getting started on your education as easy and simple as possible. We are excited to meet you, introduce ourselves and learn more about you, too. Please leave a comment below and share something about yourself. This is a safe space to ask questions and express your frustrations.

We are Bill and Nada, adult services librarians at the Wood Dale Public Library. We are leading the Recovery Project 2020 and are committed to its success. This project is important to us because we live and work in these communities and understand the financial hardships many of our neighbors are dealing with. We are available to you at virtually all times. We are committed to making this project work for you and will make it a priority to respond to your messages, find answers to your questions and keep this blog up to date so it continues to serve your needs. That is our promise.

Bill lives in Bensenville and has worked both at the Bensenville Public Library and the Wood Dale Public Library, so he understands the unique experiences of people in both communities. He has spearheaded many grant projects, including Project Compass, a national program that successfully provided resources for libraries across the United States to connect patrons with job opportunities after the Great Recession of 2008. In his free time, Bill enjoys traveling, reading non-fiction books and spending time with his family.

Nada is a recent graduate of Elmhurst College and has a network of career counseling resources and expertise in resume writing. She is putting her BA in English to work writing this blog and helping you create the best possible resume to land your dream job. She lives and works in Wood Dale. When she's not working, Nada enjoys reading fiction, watching movies and writing stories. She also speaks Spanish and Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian and can assist you in either language.
