Contact Tracer Training

With a new surge in Coronavirus cases, there is growing need for contact tracers. Preliminary information indicates that more than 100,000 contact trainers are needed immediately. Contact tracers in Illinois can earn up to $28 per hour.

To be qualified to apply for a job as a contact tracer, you must first go through a training program. College of DuPage is currently offering that program to anyone 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and a general proficiency in technology.

The program is entirely online and takes 4 weeks to complete.

The next classes will begin on August 24 and run to September 20.

The cost of the class is $279. Note: These classes are approved for funding by the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA). Check with WorkNet DuPage for eligibility requirements. See the video concerning WorkNet DuPage on this blog under July 21.

For further information and instructions on how to enroll, see Contact Tracer Training at College of DuPage.
