Pharmacy Technician

Department: Care Center

Hours: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., or 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., one weekend per month

Salary: $27,500-$29,500 annually

There are two (2) positions available.  The position is located at the Kenneth Moy Care Center, 400 North County Farm Rd, Wheaton, IL  60187.

Responsibilities include:
• Uses state of the art medication repackaging technology
• Refills bulk medications
• Performs nursing unit inspections
• Ensures appropriate charging and crediting of medications
• Assists the Pharmacist in entering and filling new orders
• Labels drugs, chemicals, and other pharmaceutical preparation 
• Maintains inventory and orders supplies 
• Enters on CRT input for drugs, pricing, labeling and preparing and maintaining files, records and purchase orders, physician order sheets 

Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
• Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
• One year experience in the health care field

HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic

Department: Facilities Management

Hours: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., including holidays and overtime as needed

Salary: $72,000 annually

There is one (1) position open at this time.

Responsibilities include:
•    Picks, maintains and repairs various types of mechanical equipment which are appurtenances of the HVAC system,(e.g. feed pumps, vacuum pumps, circulating pumps, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, condensers, evaporators, etc.)
•    Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
•    Instructs subordinate in operations and procedures
•    Makes daily preventative maintenance schedule checks and checks operation of each for proper functioning of equipment
•    Maintains inventory and recommends ordering of stock and materials to supervisor
•    Provides assistance to other labor trades classifications
Physical requirements and work environment:
•    While performing the duties of this job the employee must exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, arms, and feet to push, pull and operate tools and equipment, climb, and crouch or stoop.  Use of arm and /or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for sedentary work.
•    The work environment for this position frequently includes working near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, in cramped or confined spaces, and with the potential hazards associated with high temperature hot water/steam and low temperature walk-in refrigerators.

Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
•    Associate’s degree in HVAC and Refrigeration
•    Four (4) years of experience installing, operating, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation and refrigeration equipment
•    A valid Illinois Driver's License in good standing
•    Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification

Senior Account Clerk (Medical/Insurance Billing)  

 

Title: Senior Account Clerk (Medical/Insurance Billing)

Hours: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Salary: $32,000-$36,000 annually

There is one (1) position open at the Kenneth Moy DuPage Care Center.

Responsibilities include:
• Works with Insurance/Medicare Department in submitting and following up on documentation needed for resident insurance billing and collection
• Tracks and follows up on receivable balances for all insurance/coinsurance claims
• Works with insurance companies verifying and confirming benefit information
• Bills for oxygen through the State of Illinois software system
• Manages filing for active and discharged residents
• Maintains confidentiality
• Provides customer service to all levels of staff within all County departments
• Handles hospice billing and collection follow up.

Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
• A High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping and fiscal recordkeeping

The preferred candidate will have:
• A background in healthcare billing with knowledge and experience working with Medicare, Medicaid and insurance

A passing score on a Medical Billing, basic Word and basic Excel test is required. 

This position is included in the Bargaining Unit of AFSCME, Council 31.

A post-offer physical is required.
A pre-employment background check is required.
