Title: Office Assistant

Closing Date: 10/22/2020

Department: Recorder

Hours: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Salary: $30,000-$35,000 annually

There is currently one (1) job opportunity in the Recorder’s Office. 

Responsibilities include:
• Greets members of the public directing them to the proper location for services
• Accepts and records documents in the land records system
• Data entry and document scanning
• Answers and responds to phone inquires
• Processes payments 
• Provides department policies, procedures and programs to the public
• Receives and distributes incoming mail and responds to basic mail requests
• Handles certain confidential information
• Filing, typing and other duties as assigned

Requirements include the following combination of training and experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Two years of experience in general office work which required skilled typing; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Public communication skills

Preferred Candidate should have:
• Experience handling a high volume of data entry
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with e-recording/digital scanning systems
• Previous customer service experience 
• Background in real estate or banking a plus
