People's Resource Center Food Pantry Information

People's Resource Center has two locations: Wheaton and Westmont. They have many resources to help families impacted by the pandemic, including rent assistance, a program to provide families with refurbished computers and clothing.

Visit the People's Resource Center for any of your needs, including an onsite food pantry - Anyone in need of food from DuPage County can come for food.  You will have to register as a PRC client. Come to People’s Resource Center during food pantry hours to register. If you live in DuPage County, you are eligible to access these resources.

Temporarily, through the end of January 2021:

To access food:

  • come during food pantry hours and fill out a form
  • a PRC ID will be emailed to you
  • no ID is necessary

For information on becoming a client or accessing other services, click here to fill out the form.  A volunteer or staff member will contact you for further information.

  DuPage County Approves Internet Funding for Low-Income Students The DuPage County Board on Tuesday approved $1.5 million to provide low-income students with internet service. Under the agreement approved by the County Board on Tuesday, school districts will find appropriate vendors to provide internet service at no cost to low-income students, and all or some of the costs will be reimbursed by the Regional Office of Education. Many school districts throughout the County have moved to remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. “During this pandemic, it’s vital for schools adhere to public health guidelines and allow their students to connect and learn remotely. Internet is no longer a luxury, but a necessity for students,” said County Board member Brian Krajewski.
